H831PDMB is a DC power board that passes through and converts the combined single -48 V DC power. It then outputs -48 V DC and +12 V DC power to the backplane. Through the backplane, it passes through power to the service boards, centralized vectoring processing board, control board, and fan monitoring board.

The basic working principle of the H831PDMB board is as follows:
The protection and filter circuit protects the -48 V DC power input against surges and lightning strikes and also limits current and filters electromagnetic interference (EMI) for the -48 V DC power input.
The EMC filter circuit performs filtering for circuits.
The soft-start circuit provides the soft-start function for the -48 V DC power input of the +12 V DC power module.
The output filter circuit filters the output of the +12 V DC power module.
The detection and alarming circuit detects the availability of the -48 V DC power and reports the related alarm.
The fan power supply alarm circuit detects whether the power supply to the fan is normal.
The e-label and board type reporting circuit stores the board manufacture information and reports the board type.
