H903MPLAE Board Description

The H903MPLAE board is a control board. It is the core of the system control and service switching and aggregation. The H903MPLAE board can also function as the management and control core of the integrated network management system (NMS). It exchanges key management and control information with service boards through the master/slave serial port and in-band GE/10GE channel. In this manner, the H903MPLAE board configures, manages, and controls the device, and also implements the simple route protocol functions.

Control module: manages the entire board and the service boards, and communicates with the fan tray through the extended serial port.



  • Service processing module:

    • Providing 4 upstream GE/10GE ports.

    • Providing 4 10GE ports for load balancing with the standby control board.

  • Switching module: switches services at Layer 2 or Layer 3, and provides 17 50G channels for switching traffic to service boards or the upstream board.



Indicates the power or clock signal channel.



  • The power module supplies power to each functional module of the board.

  • The clock module provides clock signals for each functional module of the board.

The default rate of the upstream port or cascade port is 10000 Mbit/s (10GE). The rate can be set to 1000 Mbit/s (GE) or 100 Mbit/s by running the speed command.
