The intelligent field (iField) is an important part of the intelligent optical distribution network (iODN).
The intelligent field (iField) downloads orders from the U2000 ODN NMS in wireless mode, collects information about intelligent optical distribution network (iODN) devices, performs on-site engineering, rectifies faults on them, and transmits related information back to the U2000 ODN NMS for data synchronization. The iField is the only tool used for connecting passive iODN devices to the U2000 ODN NMS. The passive iODN devices include intelligent fiber distribution terminals (iFDTs) and intelligent fiber access terminals (iFATs).
