Miniaturization and High Integration

With the goal of building SME networks, Huawei has designed the highly-integrated eSCN230 by combining a Home Subscriber Server (HSS), Serving Gateway (SGW), Mobility Management Entity (MME), and Packet Data Network Gateway (PDN-GW) in a 2U, lightweight box. This easily deployed system provides exceptional flexibility for low-density-subscriber-area deployments.

Dual Backup for High Reliability

The eSCN230 supports dual-backup operation to achieve high reliability. In dual-backup mode, two eSCN230s work in a data-plane-based load-balancing configuration with active sessions for all connected users to minimize user data loss. This active connectivity maintenance improves system reliability.

Interconnection and Interoperability

The eSCN230 allows eLTE users to communicate with Terrestrial Trunked Radio (TETRA), Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN), and Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) users as well as other external systems via connections with intersystem gateways. With this high level of interoperability, organizations can build a unified communications system and handle voice and video services across the entire system.
