Directional WiFi Bridges

Directional antennas as the name implies refers to signal coverage in a specified direction. Unlike omnidirectional antennas, directionals must be aimed in the direction of the signal transmitter or receiver which can be for example a bridge or repeater.

Those devices have directional antenans built-in and work best for a point to point or point to multiple point scenario. In a lot of networking cases, wiring/cabling is not feasible or economical, so we need a wireless bridge/router to connect two physical networks together or extendent your existing physical network. We carry a varity of wireless (WiFI) routers, bridges and high gain antennas with different signal coverage to meet your specific wireless networking requirement.

Currently we have the following products in stock:

  • LG-A320 Long Range (5KM) WiFI Bridge/CPE/AP
  • LG-N800 Long Range (2KM) WiFi Router/Bridge/AP
  • LG-N900 Long Range (3KM) WiFi Router/Bridge/AP

LG-A320

LEGUANG LG-A320 is a long range outdoor WiFi bridge. It has built-in adjustable high gain antenna. It supports 2T2R(2 Transmitters, 2 Receivers), MIMO (multiple Input, Multiple Output) wireless technologies. It runs at 5.8 GHz and supports data speed as fast as 300M bps.

How to Connect

The black adapter is PoE power supply. It comes with 2 ports. One is used to connect the switch or PC and the other is used to connect the Primary port of the wireless bridge. The secondary port of the bridge can be used to connect network camera. Please note that PoE port has to plug into the Primary port of the bridge, not the secondary port.

Deployment Example

Assuming a customer has two separate buildings that are 4KM away and they need to connect a number of network cameras in the remote building to the monitor center in local building. Currently there is no network connectivity between the two buildings. It would be very expensive to connect the two building with optical fiber. That’s where A320 wireless bridge can excel. We put a A320 wireless bridge on the top of each building, let’s say A and B. All the network cameras on remote building are connected to a switch, then the wireless bridge B. The wireless bridge on local building (A) is connected to the monitor center. The two wireless bridges are connected together through WiFi, so are the remote network and the local monitor center.

Bridge Operating Mode

The modes of wireless bridge A and bridge B are configured in the following modes:

If we have three or more wireless bridges, the modes should be configure as following:

Usually Bridge-AP is connected to datacenter, monitor center or the Internet and Bridge-Station is located on the remote site.

For detailed setup instructions, please refer to A320 Wireless Bridge Configuration Guide.

LG-N800

LEUANG LG-N800 is an outdoor long range WiFI Access Point/Router/CPE. It supports 2T2R(2 Transmitters, 2 Receivers), MIMO (multiple Input, Multiple Output) wireless technologies. It has two antenas built-in and supports data speed as fast as 150M bps.

Product Specification

N800 can run in gateway mode WISP mode or bridge mode

Operating Modes

LG-N800 is a multilpe function device. It can run in three modes: Gateway mode, WISP client mode and Bridge mode as described below:

Gateway Mode: In this mode, the device works as a router, connecting to Internet with WAN port via ADSL/Cable Modem. Local PCs are connected to the router with LAN port or WiFi. Network Address Translation (NAT) is enabled. Local PCs share the same IP to ISP through WAN port. WAN port supports PPPOE, DHCP client or static IP.  DHCP server on LAN port is enabled by default to assign IP address to local PCs. With outdoor high gain antenna, N800 can also connect the remote network together to share the Internet connection. It is a very good solution for suburbs or rural area to access Internet. This is the default mode of the equipment.

Bridge Mode: In this mode, all Ethernet ports and wireless interface are bridged together so both network ports can be used to connect local PC. NAT function is disabled. All the WAN related function and firewall are not supported. DHCP server on LAN port can be enabled as needed. The device is essentially used as an access pint (AP).

Wireless ISP:  In this mode, the device works as a wireless client and access point at the same time. It acts as a wireless client to connect to ISP. It also acts as an access point to connect local PCs with WiFi. All Ethernet ports are bridged together so both network ports can be used to connect local PC. The NAT is enabled and all local PCs share the same IP address to access ISP. The difference between Wireless ISP mode and Gateway mode is that Gateway mode uses wired connection while Wireless ISP mode wireless connection to access the service provider.
