8x+2 Flexible Expansion Slots for 4 GPUs and diverse high bandwidth interconnection HBA Support
The ESC4000 G3S supports up to eight PCI-E Gen3 x16 slots in 2U for high density computing and high expandability, compatible with versatile expansion cards, especially in supporting up-to-date Intel Xeon Phi series, NVIDIA Tesla and GRIDTM Family as well as AMD FirePro Series of GPU accelerators. Initially, high-density computing is designed specifically to pack greater processing power into a rack. In ESC4000 G3S, it can carry up to 4 double-deck GPUs offering extreme high density and parallel computing power. In addition, there is also one PCI-E Gen3 x 24 slot which could perform as two slots if riser is applied for Low Profile HBA and proprietary networking cards in FDR and 10G interface.

Streamlined design with Intelligent System Fan III for optimized airflow
To provide the perfect solution for HPC scenarios, ESC4000 G3S features vertically-oriented hard disk drive (HDD) bays. This smart arrangement frees up space on either side of the drive bays, allowing stronger and more direct airflow from the front panel to the GPUs, delivering better energy efficiency and power savings. With intelligent system fan III, there are three fans dedicated for dual CPUs and two fans for each GPU area. Among the fans for each GPU area, one fan will automatically adjust the fan speed by GPU temperature while the other one plays the role as the back-up fan. Intelligent system fan III offers dedicated airflow toward CPUs and GPUs as well as offering flexibility in fan allocation. Additionally, this streamlined airflow to the heat-generating components allows the temperature of the GPU cards to be reduced.
