The E9624 subrack supports two cross-connect modes: 1:1 and 1:3. The two modes differ in the number of cross-connect boards, number of available slots for service boards, cross-connect capacity, and application scenarios.

E9624 subrack in 1:1 mode: The subrack works with a TNG1CXP, TNG3CXP or TNG4CXP board, and no additional cross-connect board is required.

E9624 subrack in 1:3 mode: The subrack works with TNG1CXP+TNG3CXCS01, TNG1CXP+TNG3CXCS02, TNG3CXP+TNG3CXCS02 or TNG4CXP+TNG3CXCS02 boards.
