I'm always very conscious of how securely all my data, files, photos and videos, and generally everything on my Mac is stored. I want to look for additional ways to protect myself.

I've always marveled at people like this, who are sure that their photos and videos might be needed by someone. I don't feel the need for too much protection. It's unlikely that anyone needs that information about me.

If any computer provides the best security for your data, it's the Mac. In any case, over the years of use I've never had any problems. If you want to add more security to your data, start with this article https://setapp.com/how-to/change-lock-screen-on-mac. It seems to me that the Mac is literally a storehouse of all kinds of locks, passwords and ways to protect yourself from scammers and unwanted people.
