• Shelf stacking

• Multiple gigabit interface standards (such as 10/100/1000 Base-T and 1000 Base-X)

• IEEE 802.1Q VLAN

• IEEE 802.1D spanning tree and multi-spanning tree

• Jumbo-frame packets of 9.7 KB

System management

• Initializes switch module configuration and dynamically manages switch modules.

• Monitors the NX230 operating status

• Supports serial over LAN (SOL) for remote operations over a serial port
