S9700 Series Terabit Routing Switches is Energy-efficient 100 GE platform for high-performance L2/L3 switching and routing in large-scale campus environments and becomes a fully programmable Agile Switch with Huawei X1E card upgrade.

Carrier-grade reliability - redundant hardware and software design; continuous hot backup and forwarding of all L3 routes, control plane and data plane information. Expandability - backplane and line cards support up to 8 x 40 GE or 96 x 40 GE ports; advanced Cluster Switching System (CSS) technology enables inter-chassis aggregation for efficient scalability. Intelligent management and security features - support for virtual firewalls and NAT; Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) for secure VPN access; highly granular NetStream traffic and usage statistics; intelligent wireless Access Controller. Energy efficient hardware and operations - variable-current chips dynamically adjust power according to traffic load including idle mode; rotating ventilation channel dissipates heat efficiently.
