Serves as an enhanced 40i-channel multiplexing or demultiplexing board. the EX40 can be used in two scenarios: multiplexing or demultiplexing of 40 channels of optical signals in the two-fiber bidirectional system, and multiplexing and demultiplexing of 16 channels of optical signals synchronously in the single-fiber bidirectional system.

Detects the optical power and reports the alarms and performance events fot the board. NOTE:The EX40 board can report optical power when it is used in the single-fiber bidirectional system. |
