The SmartAX MA5633 is mainly used in a passive optical network (PON) + Distribution-CMTS (D-CMTS) network for MSOs, which is connected to the coaxial cable distribution network using an RF port in the upstream direction and connected to an OLT using a PON port in the upstream direction. Such a networking mode supports 1000 Mbit/s access to a building and 100 Mbit/s access to a user's home. Therefore, the network can provide integrated services, including video and voice services that require high bandwidth. The network supports traditional access for home users, as well as new services such as enterprise VPN access and backhaul in hot spots, thereby satisfying the various scenario requirements of MSOs.
