Summary
Introduction
CX911 is the switching control unit of a server. It provides data switching for compute nodes in the system and external management network ports and service ports. The CX911 provides two independent planes, including the 10GE switching plane, and FC switching plane. The two planes are physically isolated.
The CX911 is installed in a rear slot of the E9000 chassis and is connected to compute nodes, storage nodes, and management modules through the midplane. It exchanges internal data packets and control and management packets to ensure high-speed data transmission.
