Huawei AR550 series agile gateways are industrial switching routers specially designed for network communication in harsh environments such as extreme temperatures, high humidity, and electromagnetic interference. The series integrates routing, switching, IPSec VPN, and other functions to provide powerful application scalability. Customers use them in industrial automation scenarios, such as electric power and transportation automation.

The AR550 series is available in two models, the AR550-8FE-D-H and AR550-24FE-D-H.

AR550 gateways support the SEP protocol to provide highly reliable network communication and fast protection switching. With 28 Ethernet interfaces, they can provide access to a large number of densely-deployed electric terminals and comply with IEEE 1613 and IEC61850-3 substation environmental standards.

Transportation

AR550s are great for transportation scenarios with many sparsely distributed stations and they meet EN50121 and EN50155 electromagnetic interference and anti-vibration standards.
